The Bow Top (Beau)
Where you stay…..
A very very cute original bow top wagon lovingly restored and decorated to give a real gypsy feel.
Beau can be found hidden by our magical woodland, with an incredible view of the valley around you. Its lush to lie in the bed with the open window to see if you can spot any of the wildlife surrounding you. There is a small fire pit to cosy up around at night, with hand crafted wooden benches for your use only. You can buy well seasoned logs directly from us (or pre book them)
It is designed for 2 with a comfy double bed, topped with feather duvets and pillows... dressed in quality cotton sheets.
There is a double gas hob & grill and a well equipped kitchen. Beau has ample storage for all your luggage and food.
The power all comes from our fiery sun and is adequate for charging phones/tablet (or small laptop) and running the thoughtfully considered lighting.
We aim to look after the wonderful natural world around us in all that we do here. We ourselves are off grid and all the toilets at the mill are composting loos. Beau has its own toilet, just a short walk away. 10L of filtered well water will be there on your arrival, and you can refill these from the water point in the nearby campsite. There are streams all around which provide great freshening and cleaning options. Please note you can only use totally natural products beside the waterways (nothing in them!). There is no shower or running water in Beau.
Please be aware we definitely do not class this as glamping. This will be an authentic off grid experience in beautiful surroundings.
We will always be here to welcome you and there will always be someone at hand or by the telephone if you need anything during your stay.

Other points…….
Beau is just above our wild camp site so if you want friends to join you on your holiday then they can book to come wild camping and camp beside you. Beau has its own parking spot signposted just off the road, its 100m walk from here to your bow top.
We highly recommend bringing your own transport. The nearest large supermarkets are 6 miles away in Tiverton, with local independent shops 4 miles away in Bampton.
If you have no vehicle and are looking to really get away and move around on foot we can help you with transport to and from Tiverton Parkway train station. There is a shop nearby which sells great local produce and also delivers , please check out bamptonfresh.com.
The 3G & 4G reception is suprisingly good in this secluded valley!
Talk to us about your pets we will try to accommodate you all!
Please do not bring any generators or have any amplified music past 11pm (small battery speakers like minirigs and acoustic music are ok later!)
There is a lot of wildlife here, and a lot of deer; which unfortunately means ticks. We recommend checking yourself daily if you are out walking a lot.
